DeLosa, David John
David John DeLosa, age 94, of Covington, PA, died Friday, January 1, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 13, 1921 in Glasgow, Scotland, a son of Candido and Anna (Halkett) DeLosa. David was employed as a line foreman for Grumman Aircraft before he retired and had worked on the space ship Lunar Module. He and his wife, Dorothy, would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on February 14, 2016. David was in the Civil Conservation Corp in the 1930's. He was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, PA; was an avid pool player; enjoyed cutting grass with his John Deere; driving his 1964 Ford pickup truck, and spending time with his family. David is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three sons and daughters-in-law, David J. and Jennifer DeLosa of Covington, PA, Allen and Diana DeLosa of Mosherville, PA, Thomas and Kathy DeLosa of Mesa, AZ; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judi and Micky Walls of Camp Verde, AZ, Debra and Robert Romero of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Peg DeLosa of Mansfield, PA; a sister, Erminia McDermott of Salt Lake City, UT. He was predeceased by a brother, Andy DeLosa and a sister, Agnes Lasko. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to Noon at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral chapel at Noon with Rev. Bryan B. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 2900 N.
