lambs creek food And spirits Review
Location: 200 Gateway Drive Mansfield PA 16993
Phone: 570-662-3222 Lambs Creek Food & Spirits sits on a Hilltop between the Lambs Creek Road and the Route 15 Mansfield By Pass directly across from the Comfort Inn. You will arrive in a large paved parking area and notice a reasonable effort was made to dress up the exterior of the premises with a European theme. Your first view will be pleasing and this pleasure will only increase as you enter the business. You are greeted by a hostess in the entryway and taken to a seat in one of three semi divided dinning areas. Tables are well spaced from each other with plenty of room for movement. The restaurant features oversized booths which are a pleasure to dine at with a small family. The interior is very clean with a wonderful decor along with plenty of elbow room to aid in making your dining experience pleasurable. The feature which stands out the most within the business is a large European style covered bar which is attractive and perfectly compliments the restaurant theme, we give the overall atmosphere a rating of excellent. The dinner menu is comprised in general of: steaks, limited seafood, and pasta. Serving sizes vary from small to average. After visiting several times and choosing different dinner menu items I find all is well prepared and good, yet nothing stands out to be noticeably better or above other restaurants. The lunch menu appears as limited with one choice that stands out above the rest, a prime rib cheese steak sandwich that hits the mark of excellent for lunch choices. Specialties On Sunday's Lambs Creek Food & Spirits features a brunch buffet which is absolutely outstanding! The buffet features made to order omelets, hand carved prime rib, ham and numerous other dishes which will keep you going back for more. The buffet provides plenty of choice for all tastes along with excellent food quality which earns our rating of excellent on this feature. The Monday night special is a favorite of mine in which the restaurant features turkey and ham Cosmo sandwiches. These sandwiches are made on a sub roll with your choice of carved turkey or ham. Onions, lettuce, tomato's and cheese are added along with the dressing you prefer. The subs are then toasted in the oven, melting the cheese to earn the title of Cosmo. The sandwiches are an old local favorite from the previous Marks Brothers Restaurant which was destroyed by fire a few years ago. The Cosmo sandwiches earn the rating of excellent from the Hill Top and always keep me coming back for more. The only draw back of the Cosmo sandwiches are their availability is limited to Monday only. Overall, Lambs Creek Food & Spirits earns an average rating, however their Brunch, Cosmos, and atmosphere each independently hit the mark of excellence! |
